November 24, 2021 - Story time at We Rock the Spectrum Kid's Gym in Forest Hill, Maryland. Debbie entertained a group of children, and their parents, with the adventures of Kip, the mischievous mouse, from her award winning children's illustrated book, Cheese? Yes, Please!
November 6, 2021 - After skipping a year due to the pandemic, the annual Authors & Artists Holiday Gift Sale returned to the Bel Air Armory for a very successful showing. Over 30 vendors filled the renovated armory. Nearly 500 visitors came through the event, many taking the opportunity for early holiday shopping.

On-line Reading with Bridges Montessori School
November 4, 2021 - D.A. Jennings read her latest children's illustrated book, The Tapping Stick, to students at the Bridges Montessori School, Bel Air campus. Two online presentations were given: one for the Upper Elementary class of eleven students; one for the Lower Elementary class of twenty-one children. The study of nature is part of their curriculum, and they were well versed in the diversity of trees and the measurement guidelines for determining Champion Trees. The children were attentive, asked well-thought out questions, and came up with some remarkable suggestions. It was a great day for sharing the joys of nature.
Howl-O-Ween Pet Fest
October 31, 2021 -Havre de Grace howled with excitement as costumed pets paraded in their finest and escorted their owners around the competition runway at Concord Point Lighthouse. D.A. Jennings was invited to bring all her animal book friends. Mischievous Kip, Mia and the forest animals and children from The Tapping Stick went home with many families. This event was really something to howl about!
Kip Returns to Harford Community College
October 27, 2021 - Jennifer Eder, Harford Community College Early Learning Center invited Kip to visit and teach the children about being a friend. As he skittered between five classes, D.A. Jennings, the author, shared his mischievous adventures from Cheese? Yes, Please! and provided each child with the illustrated handout on how to draw Kip. After visiting with the children, teachers, and their decorated classes, he’s thinking about going to school himself!
Kip Goes to College!
October 22, 2021 - Kip entertained a group of homeschooled children and their parents and grandparents in the auditorium of Edgewood Hall at Harford Community College. The author, D.A. Jennings, read Kip’s second book Cheese? Yes, Please! and the illustrator, Victoria Jennings, demonstrated step-by-step how they could draw Kip. Each child and adult went home with their Kip drawing and a copy of the illustrated instructions.
Kelly Pulaski, the Youth Programs Coordinator, organized the free event as part of the college’s homeschooling outreach program. The school provided snacks and drinks to the delight of everyone.

Great Day for a Street Festival
October 2, 2021 - Close to 30 vendors arrived on Kent Island, Md. for the Artoberfest held in historic downtown Stevensville. Debbie's newest children's books were a big hit with The Tapping Stick and Cheese? Yes, Please! leading sales. Her other books, Mia, Seize the Cheese, 100 Lives, and American Sports Legends, were also popular with the visitors. Music and children's activities were provided, making this an excellent venue for families. Mark your calendars for next year, it's a delightful street fair.

July 31, 2021 - Bethany Beach Books hosted a book signing for Debbie's latest children's books, The Tapping Stick, and her award winning chapter book, Mia, Ripples in the Water. The weather was great and the crowds friendly. Working with Bethany Books was a rewarding experience.
The Sweet Spot of Writing
June 19, 2021 - Residents of BrightView Avondell attended a writing presentation and workshop, presented by D.A. Jennings. All attendees showed their enthusiasm for writing as they participated in the writing prompts and Q&A. It is hoped that each one will submit a personal story to the Historical Society of Harford County for their 250th anthology. On your mark, get your pen…GO!
